Burgundy School of Music was founded by Cynthia Whitehead to streamline the path between taking lessons and becoming a working musician or artist. This principle has helped develop the specially tailored curriculum and teaching style that most of the students follow.
While this is the thought behind the building of the curriculum, we understand that not every student wants to do music professionally. Therefore, we heavily prioritize mental health and work to discover ways that music can add value to your life holistically.
Music is a form of art. Music is theory and not fact. Music is a tool of expression that can be used to help navigate the things that you go through daily. Let us join you in integrating music into your life in the most beneficial ways.
We can start with a phone call to understand what you are looking for in lessons. Afterwards, you will get matched to the instructor that best fits your needs for a weekly 60, 45, or 30 minute slot.
If you’d like more information on how to get started contact us! We are looking forward to meeting you.

“Cynthia is amazing, upbeat, and an absolute joy to work with. She works at her student’s pace all the while moving forward at the same time. She has been working with my autistic son for many years. Starting with the note of C, he has far surpassed by learning chords and now music theory. He has taken his knowledge to creating electronic music. God bless this woman. We are thrilled to have her in our lives.”

“Cynthia is a phenomenal teacher. She engages my son and makes learning guitar fun for him. She gets him to do stuff he was never willing to do! As a teacher by profession, I can assure you she is exactly what you want your own kid to have in an instructor.”
